What is an ATGM?

An anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), also known as an anti-tank missile or anti-armor guided weapon, is a precision-guided projectile specifically engineered to target and neutralize heavily armored military vehicles. These missiles vary in size, ranging from portable shoulder-launched variants suitable for single soldier deployment, to larger tripod-mounted systems necessitating a squad or team for operation, and even vehicle or aircraft-mounted configurations.
