Arms, ammo seized in Manipur

IMPHAL: A huge cache of arms and ammunition was seized by Assam Rifles personnel and Manipur Police in Thoubal district on Saturday. The recovery included five hand grenades, a 7.65mm pistol, a revolver and a single-barrel rifle, an AR statement said, reports K Sarojkumar Sharma.

Tipped off about the presence of weapons in Pechi area, the joint team of security forces carried out a search operation and found the weapons, the statement said.
