NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday released a list of 8 candidates for Lok Sabha elections in Punjab.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal is set to contest from Amritsar, meanwhile Gurmeet Singh Khudian will contest from Bathinda.

Patiala will be contested by Dr. Balbir Singh.

Here is the full list released by AAP:

  1. Amritsar: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal
  2. Khadoor Sahib: Laljit Singh Bhullar
  3. Jalandhar: Sushil Kumar Rinku
  4. Fatehgarh Sahib: Gurpreet Singh GP
  5. Faridkot: Karamjeet Anmol
  6. Bathinda: Gurmeet Singh Khudian
  7. Sangrur: Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer
  8. Patiala: Dr Balbir Singh


AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, on Monday, had launched his party's campaign in Punjab for the Lok Sabha elections and asked people to ensure his party wins all 13 Lok Sabha seats to make the state 'Rangla.'

At an event, Kejriwal, seeking victory for the AAP in all 13 seats in the state, said, "We do not need these seats for ourselves. (These are) to work more for your family and to make your family more prosperous. To make Punjab 'Rangla', we need 13 seats."

AAP in Februrary had announceed that it will pick candidates for all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and 1 in Chandigarh.

Speaking at a rally, Kejriwal had announced, "For Lok Sabha elections, Punjab has 13 seats and one from Chandigarh - a total of 14 seats. In the next 10-15 days, AAP will declare its candidates in all of these 14 seats. You [supporters] have to make AAP sweep all these 14 seats with majority."
