3 day annual Kailash Yatra begins in Bhadarwah amid religious fervor, festivity

The Charri Mubarak, or Holy Mace, of the three-day Kailash Yatra has set out from the Vasuki Nag Temple in Bhaderwah. The pilgrimage will reach Kailash Kund on August 31, with ritual performances and dips in sacred waters. Pilgrims from various regions, including Himachal Pradesh and Jammu, are participating, taking different routes to reach the destination.

JAMMU: Charri Mubarak (Holy Mace) of three day annual Holy Kailash Yatra left for Kailash Kund from the ancient Vasuki Nag Temple, Gatha in Bhaderwah on Friday.
According to officials, amidst the chanting of slogans in praise of Vasuki Nag deity, the Yatra passed through the Bhaderwah town where SSP Doda Mohd Aslam, ASP Bhadarwah Vinod Sharma, SDPO Bhadarwah Wasim Jamdani and SHO Bhadarwah Sandeep Parihar, President Sanathan Dharm Sabha, and others officers besides a large number of locals accorded a warm send off to the pilgrims.

"After a night stay at Hayan (Nalthi), the Yatra will reach at the holy destination on August 31, where the devotees will take a dip in the sacred water of Kailash Kund."
They said, "After performing religious rituals, the yatra will start its return journey to Bhaderwah on September 1.
The pilgrimage sees participation from pilgrims hailing from Dudu, Basantgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Chenani and Ramnagar and several Charri Mubarak are taking different routes from Kellar, Chattargala and Seuj Dhar etc to reach Holy Kailash Kund.
