Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has roped in tennis legend Sania Mirza as the team's mentor for Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023. An exciting stint in cricket is up next for Sania post her retirement from tennis.


Sania featured in her last Grand Slam at the Australian Open in January and said that it was her "pleasure" to be part of the RCB setup.


"It is a pleasure for me to join the RCB women's team as a mentor," the winner of six Grand Slam and 43 WTA titles said in an RCB statement.

She has announced that the ATP Dubai Open later this month would be her swansong tournament as she's expected to join the franchise after that.
