'Never waste reviews on him: KL Rahul becomes butt of all jokes after prolonged batting failures

KL Rahul's woeful form continued with the Indian opener enduring yet another failure in the second innings of the second Test against Australia in New Delhi. Rahul's prolonged lean patch has become a huge talking point and the clamours of dropping him from the team has been growing with each passing day.


The BCCI has sacked Rahul as the vice-captain of the Test team following his below-par run over the past one year. Rahul, who had first become part of the leadership group in Test cricket for the South Africa tour in 2022, became Team India's permanent vice-captain starting the series against Sri Lanka.

He also got to lead the team in one of the Test matches against South Africa and the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. But questions were being raised over his spot in the team following his below-par performances with the bat. The BCCI didn't drop Rahul from the squad but removed him from vice-captaincy.

Former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad has been questioning out-of-form KL Rahul's place in the team for the past few days and emerged as a staunch critic of the opening batter with his regular posts on social media. He even lashed out at the Indian team management for persisting with KL Rahul to partner Rohit Sharma at the top of the innings.


The Karnataka batsman has become butt of all jokes because of his poor batting form.
