FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS

Around 4000 young professionals and artists receive the scholarship annually to study and conduct research in the United States including Fulbright-Nehru, Fulbright-Kalam and other Fulbright fellowships for Indian students

Eligibility: Students willing to pursue postdoctoral and master's programmes in the US. Selected students will be required to carry out a research in the US for a duration of two weeks to 24 months

Amount: Tuition fees, living and related costs, economy class air travel

Deadline: June to August every year

ROTARY PEACE FELLOWSHIP

For up to 100 professionals, including 50 fellowships for master's and 50 for certification studies, from around the world to study at peace centres including centres at Duke University or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Eligibility: Minimum three years of related work experience is required for master's degree and five years of volunteering or work experience is required for bachelor's degree and certificate applicants

Amount: Tuition fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, internship and field-study expenses

Deadline: February to June every year

BAT AND BALL GAME SCHOLARSHIP

To encourage women's participation in sports, many US-based universities accept fellows based on the Bat and Ball scholarship

Eligibility: Open to female students who are aiming to study sports related fields in higher education

Amount: $1,000
