IPL8: Mumbai Indians are back to winning ways

The match 32 of IPL 8 brought smiles on the faces of Mumbai Indians fans as they registered a win against the Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai Indians won against Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets in an exciting thriller of a match. Though Mumbai Indians started well, they lost the momentum in the middle. But Ambati Rayudu took away the game from Rajasthan Royals. If Rayudu played his part in the batting department, it was Mitchell McClenaghan's bowling that snatched the game from the Royals. He took three important wickets.

Man of the Match Rayudu: The win was possible only because of Ambati Rayudu's efforts at the batting end. He played some daring and sparkling shots to lift Mumbai Indians to a massive total of 187 runs. Lendl Simmons gave a good start, but once he was got out, the hosts lost their way a bit. However, Rayudu and Kieron Pollard ensured that they picked up the tempo with some meaty blows. Rayudu dedicated his Man Of the Match to Mrs Sabiya one of the staff members from Trident. He said, "'I would like to dedicate this innings to Mrs Sabiya, who just passed away two days back due to breast cancer. She was a staff from Trident, we miss you a lot and may your soul rest in peace. I was working really hard in the nets and was trying to make the best of the opportunities I get. I look to keep my shape and go through with the shot. The team is winning and that's more than enough."

Bowling efforts: Mitchell McClenaghan's terrific bowling in the match was witnessed by one and all. Mumbai Indians scripted back-to-back wins after they edged a win against Rajasthan Royals. His bowling turned the tables for Mumbai Indians when the match was in a tight situation. A disciplined bowling performance by Mitchell McClenaghan made sure that Mumbai Indians win their third game in the tournament and reach the play-offs. Lasith Malinga also showed some momentum in the last overs as he grabbed the wicket of Deepak Hooda to leave Royals the task of scoring 20 runs in the last over and RR finally fell short by eight runs.
