What business leaders said on attending Pran Pratishtha at Ram Mandir

Business leaders and tech titans joined in celebrating the inauguration of the Ram temple at Ayodhya on January 22. The Ram Lalla idol was unveiled at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony after rituals in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While the list of invitees reportedly included about 8,000 names, the select list is said to be of 506 A-listers, including prominent industrialists. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his family, telecom czar Sunil Bharti Mittal and Aditya Birla group chairperson Kumar Mangalam Birla were among some of India Inc's faces who attended the ceremony.

"Lord Ram is arriving today. January 22 will be Ram Diwali for the entire country going ahead," said Mukesh Ambani. He attended the ceremony with his family including wife Nita Ambani, daughter Isha Ambani, sons Akash and Anant Ambani, daughter-in-law Shloka Mehta and Anant Ambani's fiancee Radhika Merchant.

Mittal said he was feeling "blessed" to be in Ayodhya. "It's an amazing day. The entire country had been waiting for years for this day," he added.

Aditya Birla group chairperson Kumar Mangalam Birla

Kumar Mangalam Birla said he was a 'big' Ram Bhakt. "This is very special for me. This is a symbol of hope, optimism and positivity. It feels great to be sitting here. It's quite unbelievable. It's a very happy occasion. All of India is celebrating. In fact, the whole world is seeing what this is all about. Every Indian must make an attempt and come here and do darshan," he added.

In a statement to the Economic Times, Hiranandani said that a "euphoric" feeling of "pride and unity" was evident at the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.


"This historic event demonstrated India's dedication to preserving its social and cultural heritage. India is celebrating an important milestone symbolising its strength, resilience, and unified spirit," he said. "It's a reminder of our shared values and our commitment to upholding them. The construction of this landmark in Ayodhya will also boost economic development, create direct and indirect employment, attract investments, bolster sacred tourism, and increase infrastructure development," he added.
