Sam Altman

OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, was suddenly dismissed by the board on November 18 due to a loss of confidence in his leadership. Twitch co-founder Emmett Shear took over as interim CEO. However, in a surprising turn of events, on November 21, OpenAI revealed an agreement for Altman to return as CEO, introducing a new initial board with Bret Taylor, Larry Summers, and Adam D'Angelo.
