Northern Railway and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) together flagged off a special train named ‘Mosquito Terminator’ to check mosquito breeding in the water bodies along the railway track and residential areas in Delhi area for the health safety of the passengers and the people living alongside the railway tracks.
A truck mounted with power sprayer provided by MCD is loaded with special kind of wagon ‘BRN’ which will spray larvicides to sanitise the water bodies especially near residential areas & on water collection points. Construction or maintenance work create mosquito-genic environment which is often called as ‘Man Made Malaria’. Due to this work, there is an accumulation of stagnation of water, which leads to mosquito breeding.
