‘WWE-style’ fight inside Delhi Metro sparks outrage; internet asks, ‘koi rokega bhi?’
A video that’s now all over social media shows a violent fight inside a crowded metro coach. People inside the train look stunned. Online, users are angry and demanding action.
For most people in Delhi, the metro isn’t just transport. It’s part of daily life. Office, college, errands– everything runs on it. That’s why videos like this hit hard. They make people question how safe the system really is.
In the viral clip, two young men can be seen attacking an older man inside the coach. One of them, dressed in a white shirt and black pants, repeatedly punches the older man. He tries to defend himself, but the two keep going at him.
At one point, it looks like all three might fall because the train is moving. They somehow manage to stay on their feet, and the fight continues.
Passengers nearby look confused. Some step back to avoid getting hurt. Others just watch. No one seems sure whether to step in or stay out of it.
Towards the end of the video, things get even more intense. One of the young men grabs the older man’s leg and tries to lift him, almost like a wrestling move. That moment especially left viewers shocked.
It’s still not clear what started the fight. The video doesn’t show the reason.
The clip was shared by the National Crime Investigation Bureau on its official X account, which quickly brought it widespread attention.
While sharing the video, NCIB tagged Delhi Police and other authorities and urged them to act. The caption read:
“Hello, Delhi Police, such acts of hooliganism are increasing on the Delhi Metro, which is considered the lifeline of the city. Please identify these two boys who are beating up a man together, arrest them, and take strict action against them.”
The message was direct: identify the attackers and take action.
Social media reacts strongly
Online reactions poured in quickly.
One user wrote:
“@DelhiPolice Looks like there is no police in Delhi, right?? If there is, then why don’t they see all this?? Two goons are beating up a lone person in a crowded metro, and the public is just sitting there comfortably? Metro passengers, remember, today it’s happening to him, tomorrow it will happen to you too, and people will just keep watching like this.”
Another commented:
“Video banane ki jagah rokne ki koshish karna chahiye tha. Unki ladai se aur aap ke video se desh aur rajdhani ki chavi kharab hoti hai.”
A third said:
“Delhi me logon ke kuch jyada hi dimaag kharab hai. Ladies sabse aage hai ladne me. Main jis gali mein rehta hoon us gali mein bhi 2 mahine nahi bitte tab tak kisi na kisi ki kisi na kisi se jhagda ho jaati hai.”
And one more added:
“Tumhari Delhi tumko mubarak. Na Delhi police kisi kaam ki hai aur na hi DMRC.”
So far, there has been no official confirmation about what action, if any, has been taken.
But every time something like this goes viral, the same question comes up again: How safe are commuters inside the metro?
