'IITian Baba' Abhey Singh gets married: Who is his wife Pratika?

Abhey Singh, or IITian Baba, was one of the most sought-after names in the world of spiritual seekers and viral sensations from Mahakumbh 2025. His unique story, combining elite education with asceticism, went viral online, making him an online sensation for his choice of path in life after being educated at IIT Bombay.

And once again, he is back in the spotlight, not for his unusual theories and beliefs about the universe, but because he quietly got married on Mahashivratri and photos with his wife have gone viral.

Who is IITian Baba’s wife, Pratika?

Pratika, an engineer from Mangaluru, Karnataka, shares Abhey's technical roots. They reportedly connected around a year ago, possibly at Sadhguru's Adiyogi ashram in Coimbatore post-Mahakumbh, bonding over shared life values and vision. In a media statement cited by ABP News Live, Abhey said they lead "a very simple, minimalist life" in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

The couple wed on February 15, 2026, at Aghanjar Mahadev Temple on Mahashivratri, followed by a court marriage on February 19. On March 6, they visited Jhajjar to meet his parents and handle bank work, drawing crowds who were amazed by the 'baba's' bride. Viral clips showed them signing documents and spending time at his father's chamber, where Abhay was clad in saffron robes.

Pratika stays low-key, praising Abhey as "simple, honest, and sincere" in social media reports.

Who is 'IITian Baba' – Abhey Singh?

Abhey belongs to Sasroli village in Jhajjar, Haryana. He aced the JEE Mains in 2008 with an All India Rank of 731, earning a spot in IIT Bombay for aerospace engineering from 2008–2012, followed by a Master's in Design.After stints in New Delhi and Canada, where he reportedly earned around Rs 3 lakh monthly or 36 LPA at an aerospace firm, he returned to India, embracing spirituality. Winters in Shimla, Mussoorie, and Dharamshala influenced his change in plans about life.

He gained fame at the 2025 Mahakumbh, where he was interviewed in ascetic garb, sparking debates on science versus soul.

His father, advocate Karan Grewal, and also a former Jhajjar Bar Association president, shared in an NDTV interview: "Our family wishes Abhey to return home. But after achieving so much, it's not easy for him to come back. After that, he decided to become a sanyasi.

He was always interested in spirituality. I was in contact with him until six months ago. After that, he blocked me and all communication with me. I heard he was in Haridwar and wanted to visit him but couldn't, and now he has gone viral in the media."

Abhey's YouTube channel on spirituality drew early supporters, including his future wife.

Abhay told NDTV India they're working on "Shree University" to unite spiritual practices, reconnect people with knowledge, and promote Sanatan Dharma, all under one roof.
