From working as a cleaner to buying a Tesla and a million-dollar home: Indian-origin man's journey has the internet in tears
Sometimes your story is not over, it's just on a different timeline, one that is yet to reach you. Indian immigrant and content creator Deven has shared how life can be more than you ever imagined, only if you keep pursuing the better.
From being unemployed in India to buying a million-dollar home in Australia, he has done it all. The influencer who documents his life on Instagram through the account '@insights_with_deven' recounted the challenges he faced after graduating from college. His life story has gone viral on the internet, sending many into tears over the hardship.
In 2011, he graduated but remained jobless for a year. While his parents supported him, he felt guilty for not having a source of income yet. In 2012, he decided to move to Australia to do his Master's degree. Soon, money ran out but instead of troubling his parents, he took up odd jobs to survive.
Between 2012 and 2014, he worked at a car wash every day for 9 hours earning $90 and but with no lunch. During the same time, he worked as a cleaner and kitchen hand, finally completing his master's degree in 2014.
However, with still no job prospects in sight, he continued to work at a grocery store. Finally, in 2016, he landed his dream job and in the following years he received multiple promotions due to his hard work and determination.
In 2023, he purchased his dream car, a Tesla and invested money in real estate by buying up multiple properties. In 2024, he became the owner of a million-dollar house in Australia.
Recounting the struggle, Deven wrote in the caption: "Your story isn't over. Sometimes it's just on a different timeline."
"Definition of never give up. After all, for that u need a strong mentality," wrote a user in the comments.
"So proud of your bro. Your hard work and patience made it all. Except that Tesla was your dream car" added another.
The post resonated strongly with social media views, many praising his perseverance, work ethic, and willingness to take on humble jobs while pursuing long-term goals.
