Nitish Kumar: The chief minister of Bihar
Nitish Kumar, the current Chief Minister of Bihar and JD(U) (Janata Dal United) leader was born into a freedom fighter’s family in Bakhtiarpur in March 1, 1951. His father, Kaviraj Ram Lakhan Singh, was an Ayurvedic practitioner and had participated in the Indian independence movement. Growing up in a politically aware household, Nitish Kumar was exposed to the values of service and leadership from an early age. His birthplace, Bakhtiarpur, is a town with historical significance, and it was here that his educational journey began.
