​7 Must-play evergreen Ganesh Chaturthi songs in Telugu

Ganesh Chaturthi is all about the pure spiritually entertaining festival for Hindus in Telugu states like every other in the country. People here celebrate the festival by getting colorful Ganesh idols, wearing new dresses, cooking traditional food items, playing music, games, dances to Lord Ganesha Bhajans, and other superhit movie songs on loudspeakers until the Ganesh is immersed on the 9th or 11th day. In some places, they conduct the auction for Ganesh Laddu, and other eatables post the pooja ceremony on the 9th-day. Shuklam Bharadaram Vathapi Ganapathim - Vinayaka Chavithi – Ghantasala

In 1957, Samudrala SR made a movie called Vinayaka Chaviti starring Legendary NT Rama Rao and Jamuna. The film’s music was composed by Ghantasala. The film has around 20 tracks of which “Vatapi Ganapatim Bhaje” sung y Ghatasala himself stands out even today. At most houses and temples this song will be played at the festival.

DINAKARA SUBHAKARAA - VINAYAKA CHAVITHI

As said, this song belongs to the same movie Vinaya Chaviti, the first generation devotional hit on Lord Ganesha. The song Dinakara Subhakaraa sung by Ghantasala again is evergreen and ever-popular.

Jaya Jaya Subha Kara Vinayaka by SPB

Titled Jaya Jaya Subha Kara Vinayaka’, this song from ‘Devullu’ starring Babloo Prithiveeraj, Raasi, Suman, Srikanth, Rajendra Prasad. Sung by SP Balasubramanyam, this song is almost played in all the temples in the early mornings. It was composed by Vandemataram Srinivas.

This song from Sri Manjunatha is like a Suprabhatam on Mondays for Lord Shiva. Every day in every corner of Telugu and Kannada states this will be in the must playlist. The music was composed by Hamsalekha, and the film was directed by K Raghavendra Rao.

​Ekadantaya Vakratundaya - Shankar Mahadevan and Suprabha KV

This is a Marathi/Hindi spiritual song sung by Shankar Mahadevan and music composed by Ajay-Atul. Though it is in the non-Telugu language, most of its lyrics sound like Sanskrit Mantras that go well with Telugu people, which is often played at the festival of Ganesha Mandaps.

Dandalayya Undralayya from Coolie No1 Movie

This film song celebrates Ganesha Chaturthi is an all-time super hit track that has been playing ever since the film is released. The song was sung by SP Balasubramanyam, and the music of the film was composed by musical maestro Ilayaraaja. The film was directed by K Raghavendra Rao starring Venkatesh and Tabu.
