Tollywood actresses who practice yoga

Film stars are always busy with their shooting schedules and other work commitments. Despite the hectic schedules, they are known to take time out to work on their physique, be it at the gym or outdoor activity or even practising yoga. Kajal Aggarwal

Tollywood actress Kajal Aggarwal didn’t like to participate in sports during her childhood. She had a fear of sporting activities and hatred of physical training class. However, it all changed when she came across the advantages of fitness during her college days. Kajal said that she first joined Aerobics class and later started hitting the gym. Once she tried took up yoga, she developed a liking for it and soon took it up as a habitual part of her life. Being a foodie, she is convinced that yoga makes her happy and helps in burning calories easily. She vouches that it’s the best method for shedding the extra pounds. With a yoga mat in hand, Kajal sets out on her travels around the world. She makes it a point to practices yoga three times a week for two-and-a-half hours. She swears by Surya Namaskar and she does it 150 times, followed by other yoga asanas.

Raashi Khanna

Raashi Khanna said that she found the benefits of yoga during her teens. When she started practising the art, she was just 16 and has been doing so till date. Raashi once said in a statement that Surya Namaskar is her favourite yoga pose. The powerful asana evokes every muscle thereby creating positive vibes in the body. She said she lost some extra pounds after taking up yoga. Even though work her work hours may sometimes stretch for 12-13 hours, she doesn’t feel stressed.

Adah Sharma

Adah Sharma was introduced to yoga by her mother, Sheila Sharma. She had seen her mother doing yoga daily in her childhood and gradually picked it up. As her mother is her yoga instructor, she workouts at home. Adah is also fond of the Surya Namaskar pose. Initially, she found it is very difficult, but gradually became habituated to it. She also said that Yoga is a part of meditation, which helps enhance one's concentration. Adah recommends practising yoga early every morning.

Sanjjanaa Archana Galrani

Sanjjanaa Archana Galrani once said in an interview that yoga is her life and it is her key to living life successfully. She claimed to have found a special quality in people who practise yoga. She says that they are always positive and come forward to solve problems. Not many know that Sanjjanna owns a yoga academy in Bengaluru. Initially, she started with three branches and it has been getting popular across the city with 20 branches now open.

In a bid to make a difference in peoples' lives, she started these classes free of charge as she says she earns enough from her films.
