Actor
Prince Cecil is back to playing the hero on-screen, three years after he featured in the lead role in the Telugu crime comedy Where is Vidya Balan. And he will be romancing not one, not two, but three leading ladies in his upcoming film Radical, directed by
Sushanth Reddy. “It’s a romantic drama with some action in it, and I play a student leader. He is someone who’s trying to discover himself.
He’s confused in life and goes through this transition phase to know himself, like how generally a 23 or 24-year-old does,” reveals Prince.
Talking about his role, the actor says, “Although my character will have three love interests in his life,
Hebah Patel will be the leading girl. In fact, she will be his first and last love in the film. So he’s not the kind of a guy who’ll break up and move on, his love for Hebah’s character remains intact no matter how many people he meets. Even the characterisation of the lead role is radical, hence such a title. And we’re trying to portray reality and not sugarcoating anything. Even the dialogues are such, where feelings are not hidden — they are raw and bitter,” says Prince.
Hebah nods in agreement saying, “I play Prince’s college sweetheart. However, my character does something that impacts his life in a big way fills him with a certain negativity and bitterness. This is when the other girls come into his life and brighten it up. But he is so head over heels in love with me that he can’t get me out of his head. It’s a very interesting story that will strike a chord with everyone.”
