Tollywood teachers who made a lasting impact on the audience

Teaching is regarded as one of the most respectable professions. Some Tollywood stars, who have stepped into the role of teachers for their films have inspired the audience with their acts. Fans still remember them for their stupendous performances. Let’s take a look at some of the Tollywood celebrities who made a lasting impact on the audience with their portrayals as teachers:
2/6

Chiranjeevi in ‘Master’ and ‘Tagore’

Megastar Chiranjeevi played a Telugu teacher in the 1997 film ‘Master’ and professor in the 2003 film ‘Tagore’. While his teaching methods were highly controversial in the VV Vinayak directorial, his teachings about Telugu in the former, empowered students to shape their lives for a better future. He encourages his students to learn something new constantly to bring about a change in their lives. Initially, students don’t like to follow him as it’s a rough ride, but most of them respond, finally standing tall and saluting him.

Venkatesh in ‘Sundarakanda’

Back in 1992, Victory Venkatesh added a feather to his already overwhelming list of roles – Telugu lecturer Venkateswarulu. Directed by K Raghavendra Rao, ‘Sundarakanda’ tells the story of a college girl who loves her lecturer deeply and wants to get married to him. The movie received positive reviews and was a box office hit at the time of its release. This was also the first time director Raghavendra Rao made a film outside of the romantic genre. With memorable music by MM Keeravani, the film also starred Meena alongside Venkatesh.

Sumanth in ‘Golconda High School’

In the spring season 2011, Akkineni Sumanth took on a new leading role as a sports teacher and a popular one at that! The actor taught our country’s most favourite sports cricket at the Golconda High School in Hyderabad and he enriched the lives of his students with the sport. The film was based on the book ‘The Men Within’, penned by Hari Mohan Paruvu. Your kids need teachers who believe in their abilities, like Sampath’s character in the Mohan Krishna Indraganti directorial.
5/6

Kamalinee Mukherjee in ‘Happy Days’

‘Happy Days’ is probably the most famous movies of all time. The film captures your heart and never let’s go. It’s still a beautiful package, and wonderfully inspiring. The script was brilliantly written, with fresh and new talent and powerful direction. Kamalinee as Shreya Madam was a dream teacher for any student. As an English teacher, the actress’s alluring sari-clad avatar in the Sekhar Kammula directorial won many hearts.

Rajeev Kanakala in ‘Sye’

Rajeev Kanakala melted our hearts as Rugby coach Rafi in the 2004 sports drama ‘Sye’, directed by SS Rajamouli. Though he is not the male lead, in the crucial role, he inspires awe as he encourages and pushes his students to win the game. Students find hope in his motivational speech. Through the power of his inspiring speech, students finally succeed in their pursuit.
