Athanokkade

After his debut film, Nandamuri Kalyanram did not get a new project until 2005 when director Surender Reddy, who too was making his debut, offered him the role of Ram, who seeks revenge on his family’s killers. Since then Kalyan has not only scaled new heights but also has remained one of the best actors in the Telugu film industry to date. The movie also starred Sindhu Tolani, Ashish Vidyarthi, Prakash Raj, Chandra Mohan, Surya, Chalapathi Rao and among others. The movie crashed box-office records upon its release. The film showcased Kalyanram’s talent and his portrayal of Ram was applauded by the industry and audience alike.

Lakshmi Kalyanam

With a stellar star cast and an ace director, ‘Lakshmi Kalyanam’ had all the elements to be successful. However, despite having Kalyanram as the lead actor, the film failed to perform well at the box-office. However, the Teja directorial was lauded by the audience and critics alike. South beauty Kajal Aggarwal made her Tollywood debut alongside Kalyanram with this film.

Hareram

Kalyanram has played the dual role for the first time in the Harshavardhan directorial. He was seen as Hari and Ram and he succeeded in winning hearts of the audience. The film is about the pharmaceutical drug racket that showcased how physicians play with public health as well as the bond between brothers. The film not only had a unique concept but also some noteworthy performances by the lead artists. Mickey J Meyer’s music is one of the major highlights of the film.

Pataas

The commercial entertainer featuring Nandamuri Kalyanram was a much-appreciated movie of the actor. This 2015 film was another box-office hit for Kalyanram who played the role of a corrupted-turned-sincere cop. Directed by debutant director Anil Ravipudi, the film had dialogue king Sai Kumar, who had lent his voice for the Tollywood star Rajasekhar. This action-packed romantic entertainer showed off his action side.

MLA (Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbai)

It took almost nine years for Nandamuri Kalyanram and Kajal Aggarwal to come together yet again for ‘MLA (Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbai)’ which was directed by Upendra Madhav. Kalyanram plays the role of a happy-go-lucky guy who falls in love with Indhu played by Kajal. To get married to Indhu, Kalyan has to be an MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) which he succeeds in doing so. Kalyan won many accolades for his terrific performance and it has remained a highest grosser in his decade-long career.
