Jr NTR, Kalyanram performs last rites of Nandamuri Harikrishna

The mortal remains of actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna were cremated at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on Friday. Fans, well-wishers, politicians, family members and Tollywood film fraternity paid their respects to him at the Mehdipatnam home on Thursday. The former member Rajya Sabha and the minister was state of honours.

Stars who offered their condolences to Harikrishna’s family included Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Manchu Manoj, Anushka Shetty, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Rana Daggubati, Suman, Lakshmi Manchu, Pawan Kalyan, Murali Mohan and Tarak. Political leaders Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh were in attendance at the cremation along with Jr NTR. We can see them on the pic which was taken at when Harikrishna’s mortal remains started at home for cremation. Nandamuri Harikrishna is the brother-in-law of the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu and they had their fair share of relationship.

On behalf of Manchu family, Manchu Manoj paid his last respects to the legendary actor-cum-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna before his cremation. He stood by the family of Jr NTR and Nandamuri Kalyanram who can’t hold the tears back. The actor was seen clearing the crowd to pave the way for safe passage. Tears burned Jr NTR’s eyes and the storied tears continued to flow. And also Manchu Manoj’s eyes were filling with tears and he was seen trying to control crying Tarak. Both were stood by the late actor’s side at ceremony venue where amid fan frenzy, film and political fraternity reached. Harikrishna's cremation was undoubtedly a frenzied affair. Such a sorrowful time.

Jr NTR’s heart was full of tears. He failed to suppress a sob and wiping tears from his eyes. As he is performing last rites, fans wait to offer his condolences outside the venue in Hyderabad. Condolences have poured in since the sudden demise of Harikrishna and Telangana government accorded full state honours for the funeral of him and also expounded arrangements by the Telangana police and a gun salute before the cremation.

The Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu was seen covering the late former member of MP’s body with the flag of Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The political fraternity also walked in to pay their last tribute to the late Harikrishna. The last journey of Harikrishna lasted for over two and a half hours and after that, the mortal remains of him left the home to reach Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills.

Nandamuri Harikrishna was cremated at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The cremation ceremony is conscious. Nandamuri Kalyanram and his brother Jr NTR administered the last rites to their father. Nandamuri Harikrishna on his way to attend a wedding in Kavali, Nellore, died in a road mishap on August 30. The official report said Harikrishna died of not wearing the seat belt in the car.
