Highly anticipated Telugu films set to release in September

August 2018 was an outstanding month for Telugu films, which has only set the bar higher for new releases set to hit theatres in September. Thankfully, filmmakers’ intent on keeping the upward graph with their line-up of promising films set to release all month long. While the list is long, we have picked out the seven highly anticipated films that movie lovers are most excited about.

September 7 will see four films clash at the box office on its very first weekend. Venkatesh Maha, who is known for his emotional-dramas and comedy flicks, has helmed ‘Care of Kancharapalem’ which will lock horns with ‘Manu’, ‘Silly Fellows’ and ‘Premaku Raincheck’.This cutting-edge Independent film promises to offer nothing short of stellar performances.

Fans of ‘Brahmanandam’ have been waiting for Raja Goutham’s ‘Manu’, directed by Phanindra Narsetti. Post the release of the trailer, the anticipation for this suspense thriller has only increased.

‘Premaku Raincheck’ might just be one of those unique films to watch out for. Debutant Akella Peri Srinivas is bringing us a coming-of-age romance-drama. Allari Naresh and Sunil are back to tickle your funny bone with their film ‘Silly Fellows’ which promises to be a laughter riot.

13 September brings with it, its own set of clashes with two films including ‘U Turn’ and ‘Nannu Dochukunduvate’ releasing on the same day. Actress Samantha teaming up with director Pawan Kumar for a suspense thriller ‘U Turn’, which revolves around an investigation of mysterious accidents on a flyover will share business with Sudheer Babu’s next with RS Naidu ‘Nannu Dochukunduvate’

‘DevaDas’, which revolves around a don and a doctor, is set to blow us all away when it hits screens on 27 September. Directed by Sriram Adittya, this upcoming film stars Akkineni Nagarjuna as a don and Nani as a physician. While not based on a specific true event, from the looks of the recently released teaser, it’s going to be one of the most hilarious entertainers of the year.
