Teja Sajja is winning hearts with his recent release, 'Mirai', but it was his last year's mythological superhero film, 'HanuMan', which made him a recognized star throughout the nation. Let's revisit the time when, during the film's release, Megastar Chiranjeevi said that the young actor had completed a dream of his.
During a South Indian Film Festival, the host Rajeev Masand asked the 'Godfather' star which film he most certainly had wanted to do if he had a chance. He asked, "What is the one film you wish you had a chance to do? Many people would name your films. But is there a film you’ve seen and thought, I wish I had done that?"
Child actor to a hero
Chiranjeevi pointed towards Teja Sajja, who was present at the event. He shared how he has seen him evolve over the years. He also mentioned Teja Sajja performing alongside him as a child actor. He said, "The guy who wore the jacket… He started his career as a child artist with me. Was that 25 years back? Yeah. He did more films with me after that, like Indra. That's how he grew up."
Chiranjeevi's dream
The 70-year-old actor shared how Teja Sajja, who does not come from a family with a film background, took inspiration from senior actors like him. He also said that now he is fulfilling his dream of doing a film like 'HanuMan', which he wanted to do for a long time.
"He doesn’t belong to any film family. He started liking me, drawing inspiration from my films. Now he did a film on Hanuman (HanuMan), I wanted to do that long ago. But when he did it, I was satisfied. He’s a part of my journey, I don't see him as separate. Now, he has received such acclaims," the veteran actor shared.
Teja Sajja is back with an action thriller, 'Mirai', playing as Super Yodha, who has to protect nine sacred scriptures from dark forces. The movie collected over Rs 12 as per early estimates on the first day of its release domestically.
