Actor
Vishwak Sen took up the
Green Challenge
, aka the
Haritha Haram
, initiated by Rajya Sabha MP J Santhosh Kumar.
He accepted the challenge after being nominated by singer
Rahul Sipligunj
and planted a few saplings at the
GHMC Park
in Jubilee Hills on Wednesday. Sharing a few pictures of him doing the task, he nominated
Allu Sirish, his HIT director
Sailesh Kolanu,
Kartikeya
and
Abhinav Gomatam and wrote, “#harithaharam #greenindia and I nominate @allusirish @saileshkolanu @actorkartikeya @a.gomatam.” (sic)
Reports state that the actor even praised the MP for taking the initiative on the challenge. Not just Hyderabadis and Tollywood stars, scores of locals have also taken up the challenge and planted greenery at numerous locations. It was in November 2019 that Bigg Boss Telugu 3 winner Rahul Sipligunj nominated him, Tharun Bhascker and Warangal West MLA Vijay Bhaskar after being nominated by Suma Kanakala. Recently,
Prabhas too took up the challenge and planted saplings at his home, much to the delight of fans.
On the work front, there were rumours that he will soon be seen in the Telugu remake of Oh My Kadavule but his spokesperson clarified that Vishwak Sen only has two confirmed projects lined up as of now – HIT 2 and Paagal. HIT 2 will be the follow up to Sailesh Kolanu’s debut film HIT: The First Case. Vishwak Sen played the role of a troubled cop in the film with a traumatic past that will be revealed in the sequel. Paagal will be directed by debutant Naresh Kuppili.
