In the video, the charismatic superstar can be seen attempting the hook step of the popular song "Butta Bomma" from Allu Arjun's film 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo,' alongside Pooja Hegde and a group of kids. The video showcases Vijay's candid nature and adds a touch of cuteness to the overall experience.

Pooja Hegde shared the video on her Instagram account with a caption that read, "Just this little gem on my phone from the sets of Beast. Since it was Thalapathy Vijay's birthday yesterday, #buttabomma #behindthescenes." During the shoot of their film Beast, which was released last year, Pooja Hegde introduced Vijay to the viral Butta Bomma trend by making him groove to the song. Despite being a late entrant, Vijay effortlessly nails the iconic hook step, and the video has won the hearts of fans.


"Butta Bomma" was originally a chartbuster song from the film 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo,' starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. The song's hook step gained immense popularity, with celebrities like Shilpa Shetty, Karthik Aaryan, and David Warner joining in on the viral trend. Now, after two years, Thalapathy Vijay's rendition of the Butta Bomma hook step has once again ignited the craze surrounding the dance move.

In the film 'Beast,' Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde shared the screen for the first time under the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar. Although the film received mixed reviews from the audience, it emerged as a commercial success. The film's songs, such as "Arabic Kuthu" and "Jolly O Gymkhana," became instant hits among the audience.
Thalapathy Vijay's next project, 'Leo,' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has already generated high anticipation. However, due to changes in the shooting schedule and script, Pooja Hegde decided to opt-out of the project. A source close to the actress revealed, "She was not happy with how things were proceeding and put forth her plight with the producers and director before moving out. Pooja will now shift her focus to other films in Telugu and Hindi."
