Tanguturi Suryakumari aka Suryakumari Elvin was an Indian actress, dancer, and Singer in Telugu cinema. She sang this song even before the ‘United States for Telugu People’ was formed in 1956. It was later adopted as the official song of the State of Andhra Pradesh that was portrayed as a symbol of the Telugu people. Many schools and government events start with this song showing respect to the Telugu land, culture, and its people. The song was also used several times in various Telugu movies that was originally written by Sankarambadi Sundaraachari.

This was once again sung by 'Tanguturi Suryakumari'. She had appeared in over 25 Indian films in the 1940s & ’50s. She sang and starred in a variety of languages including Sanskrit, Gujarati, Hindi and English apart from her mother tongue 'Telugu'. This song was composed by Pendyala Nageswara Rao, the lyrics were written by social reformer 'Gurajada'. The song talks about 'Nationalism and social harmony'.

Badi Panthulu is a 1972 Telugu drama directed by P Chandrasekhara Reddy that stars 'NTR and Anjali Devi and music composed by KV Mahadevan, which was a huge commercial success. Sr NTR had won a Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance in the film.

The film revolves around a schoolmaster whose role is very important in building the nation. Titled “Bharatha Mathaku Jejlu”, the song was penned by 'Acharya Aatreya' and sung by Ghantasala. It is one of the all-time classic patriotic hits in Telugu.

Velugu Needalu', the 1961 movie made under the banner of 'Annapurna pictures' that stars 'ANR and Savitri' has a song titled “Paadavoyi Bharatheeyuda”. It was penned by legendary writer 'Sri Sri' and music composed by 'Pendyala Nageswara Rao' and sung by the evergreen legend 'Ghantasala' along with P Susheela. This is one of the all-time patriotic classic hits in Telugu. It was also dubbed into Tamil and won a Filmfare Best Film Award for its content.

This song from the 1987 Telugu film 'America Abbayi' directed by legendary filmmaker ‘Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’, was mostly shot in the USA. Titled Ye Desamegia, it was written by Jnanpith award winner C Narayana Reddy and sung by P Susheela. It is even popular today in many primary schools. The music of the film was composed by S Rajeswara Rao.
