'Tees Maar Khan', 'Thiruchitrambalam' to 'Nope' 8 films releasing this week

Though there are bunch of straight Telugu films such as ‘Bimbisara’, ‘Sita Ramam’, and ‘Karthikeya-2’ that are doing great at the theatres, still as in every week, this week too more than 6 movies are getting released in Telugu states. Among them, there are Tamil, Hindi and English dubbed films besides straight Telugu films. On that note, have a look at the list of films releasing this week with their dates and importance.

​‘Tees Maar Khan’ – 19 August

'Tees Maar Khan' features Aadi Sai Kumar, Payal Rajput, Poorna and Sunil in the lead roles. The film is directed by Kalyanji Gogana and produced by Nagam Tirupathi Reddy and will hit the theatres on 19th August.

​‘Am Aha’ – 19 August

'Am Aha' is a suspense thriller directed by Shyam Mandala starring Jangam Sudhakar and Lavanya in the lead roles. Ramaraju, Ravi Prakash, Duvvasi Mohan and others are playing other important roles in the film that deals with a murder mystery. The film's music is composed by Sandeep Kanugula that is hitting the theatres on 19th Aug.

‘Commitment’ – 19 August

'Commitment' is an upcoming Telugu movie starring Tejaswi Madiwada and Anveshi Jain playing the lead roles. The film is said to be a romantic thriller directed by Lakshmikanth Chenna with its music composed by Naresh Kumaran. Cinematographers Sajeesh Rajendran and Naresh Kancharana shot the film brilliantly, while Prawin Pudi edited the film that is being released in theatres on 19th August 2022.

​‘Maataraani Mounamidhi’ – 19 August

'Maataraani Mounamidhi' is a Telugu mystery thriller starring Mahesh Datta, Srihari Udayagiri and Soni Srivastava in the lead roles. The film is directed by Suku Purvaj. Asher Luke and Suman Jeeva composed the music while Shivaram Charan has taken care of the Cinematography. Gearing up for a release on August 19th, the flick is edited by Shiva Sarvani.

​‘Wanted PanduGod’ – 19 August

'Wanted Pandugod' is a Telugu suspense comedy that stars Sunil and Anasuya in the lead roles, while Sudheer, Deepika Pilli, Srinivasa Reddy, Saptagiri and Vennela Kishore play other important roles. Directed by Sreedhar Seepana, the movie is presented by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film will hit the theatres on 19th August.

​'Ekans: Snakes Awake!' (Hindi dub) – 19 August

This is an adventure animation film that talks about a 13-year-old street-smart Wonder kid - EKans who is gifted with Naagamani by one of the world's powerful snakes. What will the good-natured and fearless Ekans with the superpower is said to form the rest of the story.

The film has its theme sung by Kailash Kher, while its lyrics are written by Gulzar. It is written by the Yash Thakur team and directed by Yogesh Kawale. While it was funded by Cartoon Network (India) as a web series in 2021 but is now released as a feature film on 19th August 2022.

‘Thiru/Thiruchitrambalam’ (Tamil Dub) - 18 August

'Thiruchitrambalam' is a Tamil musical family drama written and directed by Mitran R Jawahar and is funded by Kalanithi Maran's 'Sun pictures'. Dhanush plays the titular role. Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna, and Priya Bhavani Shankar played other important characters in the film. It has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while its cinematography is taken care of by OM Prakash and the film is edited by GK Prasanna. The film is scheduled to release on 18th August 2022 in its dubbed version.
