Inside details about Shruti Haasan's role in Nani, Mrunal Thakur's #Nani30

Actress Shruti Haasan has been shooting for something exciting in Goa, and has been dropping hints about it on her social media as well. Turns out she has been roped in to play a key role in Nani and Mrunal Thakur’s yet-to-be-titled project with debutant director Shouryuv.

A source from the film’s unit confirmed the same to Hyderabad Times, stating, “Shruti has been roped in to play a crucial role in #Nani30; an official announcement will also be made soon. The team is currently shooting a 40-day schedule in Goa and she’s shooting with them for the next few days.”

Elaborating on the nature of the role, the source added, "She’s there for only a portion of the film but her role is crucial to the story. That’s why she is excited to play the part. She’s canning a few key scenes and will shoot for a song soon," says the source.

So does this mean she’ll play Nani’s romantic interest? "She doesn’t; you’ll have to wait and see why she’s crucial to the story that’s all about love."
