Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the main villain in SS Rajamouli’s epic, ‘Varanasi’, as Kumbha. He will lock horns with
Mahesh Babu in the globetrotter film and for the part, the actor has been working tirelessly. Recently he shared that he has finished his part of the shoot for the schedule.
Prithviraj Sukumaran enjoys feast after hard work
Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his Instagram handle to share that he has completed a part of the film and is rewarding himself with a well-deserved treat. He shared a picture of his meal and wrote, “End of a schedule that I have worked immensely hard for. Cheat meal well earned. See you in theatres, April 7, 2027. #Varanasi.”

The actor’s meal looked very tasty and rich. It had prawn masala with fried cashews and green chilies. There was also a big serving of rice. It looked like a perfect treat after long days of hard work. He also thanked “Narayan Garu” for sending him this special meal.
How Rajamouli brought Prithviraj on board
Earlier, during the film’s title launch in Hyderabad at Ramoji Film City in November, Prithiviraj Sukumaran shared the story behind his joining the film. He shared that the ‘RRR’ director called him and shared, "Hi Prithvi, this is SS Rajamouli. The antagonist in my next film has come out exceedingly well, one of the finest characters I've conceived. Would you be interested?" he said. He also described his first meeting with Rajamouli in the director's office, with the famous German Shepherd. He shared that he narrated him the script and in the first five minutes he was blown away.
He further added, "How does someone think like this where you find the inspiration to picturize something like this? Remember what I told you about the 5 minutes, you can get back to that the day, the film releases.” He further concluded by saying, “This is SS Rajamouli and his team once again taking Indian cinema to the global stage, this time bigger, bolder, and more audacious than ever.”
