‘Narappa’ resumes shoot in Hyderabad: Venkatesh joins the proceedings

, things are gradually turning into normalcy in the Telugu film industry with big-ticket projects like

RRR

, Radhe Shyam,

Vakeel Saab

and Acharya going back to floors. The latest film to join this bandwagon is ‘

Narappa

’. Starring

Venkatesh

Daggubati in the titular role, the rustic actioner has resumed its shoot in Hyderabad from November 4th and currently, the makers are canning some crucial climax scenes on the principal cast which include Priyamani, Rao Ramesh, Rajeev Kanakala and others.

Venkatesh has reportedly joined the proceedings and upon completion of this on-going schedule, almost 80% shoot will be wrapped up. The remaining flashback portions featuring the F2 actor in a young avatar will be shot in the final schedule. Adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines and safety precautions issued by the government, the shooting is reportedly taking place at the Aluminium Factory in Hyderabad.

While Priyamani is stepping into the shoes of Manju Warrier in this Telugu remake of ‘

Asuran

’, Kollywood beauty Amala Paul is likely to play the role essayed by Ammu Abhirami in the original. Directed by ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’ fame Srikanth Addala, the rustic actioner went on floors in January at Uravakonda in Anantapur district and a high-octane action sequence has been canned on Venkatesh & Co at the Theri Kaadu desert. Due to coronavirus pandemic, the shooting has been stalled in March.

Narappa is jointly bankrolled by original producer Kalaipuli S Thanu and Suresh Babu under Suresh Productions and V Creations Banner. Directed by Vetrimaaran, Asuran addressed several social issues like land grabbing, oppression, caste injustice and discrimination.
