'Narappa' is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video and we tell you five reasons why this film is a must-watch
The much-awaited period action thriller Narappa, starring Victory Venkatesh and Priyamani, is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from July 20 across India and 240 territories and countries worldwide. The film is jointly produced by Suresh Babu and Kalaippuli S Thanu under the banner of Suresh Productions and directed by Srikanth Addala. It is probably the biggest Telugu film to release on the OTT platform. Ahead of the release of Narappa, here is looking at the reasons as to why that might be:

Venkatesh Daggubati:
The original Tamil film saw Dhanush as the leading face whose role will now be played by the one and only, Venkatesh Daggubati. Narappa also marks the OTT debut of the Telugu superstar. Priyamani will be seen as the leading actress opposite the superstar in a fresh pairing, making the lead cast more exciting to look forward to. Venky has a huge fan following in Telugu states. He churns out hit after the other every year, and this one is a much-awaited movie with enough content to draw an audience.

Remake of a Tamil blockbuster:
The original film Asuran was a mega-blockbuster and Narappa is all set to impress the global audience as the remake. Asuran is one of the most superhit films in Tamil cinema with a cult following and was hounded for its remake rights which were finally acquired by the makers of Narappa. It was screened at the 78th Golden Globe Awards (2021) under the Best Foreign Film category and also premiered at the 51st International Film Festival of India in Goa.

Depicting the rivalry between the 'haves' and the 'have nots', Narappa will be a grand action film with one of the strongest plots and content. Not just some of the biggest names of the industry, but also netizens and critics have hailed the storyline and called it one gripping, thought-provoking and must-watch story. The movie is based on real events that occurred in 1968 in Tamil Nadu, and revolves around the life of a common man and his sacrifices for his family in a world full of chaos and uncertainty.

The trailer showed us Venkatesh in a fierce who will go to any lengths to protect his family, which gave goosebumps to the viewers leaving them anticipating for the superstar in this avatar. The film brings to the fore, a riveting tale of Narappa and his family and the unseen struggles of a farmer as shown in the trailer.

The background score plays a very important role when it comes to action drama, and it only heightens the intensity of every scene in the movie. The trailer itself gives us a glimpse of the same. A couple of songs have already been released, and they have been loved by the audience. The technical crew includes Shyam K Naidu for cinematography, Marthand K Venkatesh for editing and Gandhi Nadikudikar for art direction.
