He started out as a lover boy and went on to successfully create a mark for himself in the Telugu cinema. Jai
Jai tells the story of a brilliant student Jairam who learns boxing defeats Pakistani opponent Indo-Pak Boxing Match. It was the debut of Navdeep who played the role of Jairam with utmost sincerity. Directed by Teja, the film also featured Ayesha Jhulka, Tanikella Bharani, Abhinayashree, Venu Madhav, Duvvasi Mohan and Allu Ramalingaiah in significant roles. From music, casting, locations, and the whole mood of the film – everything was in place and nothing went wrong.

Modati Cinema
Modati Cinema revolves around a middle-class girl Sindhu who stays with her nagging stepmother and meek father misunderstands a rich boy Sreeram who falls in love with him as he tries to solve her problems. The movie, released in the year 2005 and helmed by Kuchipudi Venkat, received several positive responses. Modati Cinematook Navdeep to another level of success. Fans loved the on-screen chemistry between Navdeep and Poonam Bajwa. Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Rallapalli, Suthivelu, Ali, Sunil, Venu Madhav and LB Sriram are also part of the cast.

Gowtam SSC
Navdeep played the titular role who is a failure student and not his father’s favourite decides to turn his life around with some help from two well-wishers. Directed by PA Arun Prasad, the movie was highly appreciated by fans and critics for his comic timing and quirky one-liners. Definitely, it goes without saying that Navdeep’s acting was one of the highlights of the movie when Gowtam SSCwas released. His performance was worth every buck spent on the film which also featured Madhu Sharma, Bhanupriya, Ahuti Prasad, Ravali, Nassar, Shiju, Babloo Prithiveeraj and MS Narayana.

Chandamama
A romantic family drama, Chandamama tells the story of a highly-respected man who attempts to arrange his daughter’s wedding with an honest man comes to know that his daughter is in love with a man form the city. Directed by Krishna Vamsi, the movie was a sleeper hit at the box office, courtesy- the stellar performance from the cast especially from Navdeep, Siva Balaji, Kajal Aggarwal, Sindhu Menon and Naga Babu respectively. If you’re a sucker for romance, then you’ve got to fall in love with the scenes between Navdeep and Kajal.

Arya 2
In what could be described as the most underrated performance in Navdeep’s career, his role as Ajay in Sukumar’s Arya 2, starring Allu Arjun in the lead needs to be discussed more often and not just on special occasions. The actor was widely appreciated by his colleagues and fans for stepping out of his comfort zone and getting the job done. He was seen in a negative role and it seems the actor aspired to be seen in different roles.
