Watch out for these 5 major highlights in Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru

In a few hours, the second big release of 2020 after Darbar will hit the worldwide theaters with a bang. Amid a massive pre-release hype and sky-high expectations, Mahesh Babu is all set to enthral the Telugu audience with his latest action-comedy Sarileru Neekevvaru. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the promos of the film managed to generate good curiosity among the masses and the recently concluded pre-release event also turned out to be a superhit. With a U/A certificate from the censor, the film has also been granted special shows by the AP government.

Starring Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, the big-budget film features an ensemble star cast like Vijayashanthi, Prakash Raj, Sangeetha and Rajendra Prasad in pivotal roles. Tamannaah was roped in to shake her belly for the special number ‘Daang Daang’ and the sexy siren didn’t disappoint. Releasing in the festive season of Sankranthi, here are the 5 major highlights to watch out for in Sarileru Neekevvaru.

Mahesh Babu steps into the shoes of Army Major Ajay Krishna

For the first time in his 20-year-old career, Mahesh Babu is playing the role of an army commando in Sarileru Neekevvaru. While the first look posters showcased the 44-year-old actor in combat uniforms, the teaser portrayed him as a brave commando taking part in a military operation in Kashmir. According to the promos, the story shifts from Kashmir to Kurnool where the protagonist has to deal with the wrongdoings of the local goons and politicians. Like Anil Ravipudi’s previous films, Sarileru Neekevvaru is also loaded with high-octane action sequences.

‘Lady Superstar’ Vijayashanthi’s grand comeback to cinema after 13 long years

It’s already evident that yesteryear heroine Vijayashanthi is staging a comeback to the silver screen after 13 long years with Sarileru Neekevvaru. According to reports, the 53-year-old actress will be seen as a college professor in the film and Mahesh happens to play her son. After sharing the screen in the 1989 action-drama Koduku Diddina Kapuram, Vijayashanthi and Mahesh are teaming up after 30 years. Popularly known by the moniker ‘Lady Amitabh’, the Karthavyam actress is looking forward to work with the newer generations under the arc lights.

Hilarious train episode featuring Mahesh Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Rashmika & others

According to director Anil Ravipudi, the 30-minute train episode will be the highlight of Sarileru Neekevvaru and the comedy generated through this part will leave the audience in splits. Soulfully crooned by Lavita Lobo and Nakash Aziz, the video promo of the peppy song was recently unveiled to a fabulous response from netizens. While the Prince of Tollywood impresses with his handsome looks and energetic dance, it is Tamannaah who steals the show in a drool-worthy avatar. Her pacey dance moves are sure to keep the viewers hooked throughout the duration and Devi Sri Prasad’s foot-tapping tune deserves a mention. Sekhar Master has choreographed Daang Daang and it’s his maiden collaboration with Mahesh Babu.
