released this Friday and Chiranjeevi gave the film’s first review.

Lauding the film’s team after catching a special screening on Thursday night, the Acharya star took to social media and wrote, “Just watched #KondaPolam. A beautiful rustic love story with a powerful message. I love how Krish always deals with different genres & picks pertinent issues & extracts fantastic performances from artists.I trust this film will win as much acclaim & awards as it will get rewards. (sic)”

He also added that the film will be a milestone in the cast and crew’s careers. “Hearty Congratulations to @DirKrish #PanjaVaisshnavTej @Rakulpreet @mmkeeravaani& entire team of @FirstFrame_Ent for this excellent piece of work.This will certainly be a milestone in your careers. God Bless you all! #KondaPolam, (sic)” he wrote.

Konda Polam, based on a novel by Sannapureddi Venkata Ramireddy, sees Vaisshnav Tej as a young man called Ravi from the shepherd community who’s struggling to land a job. Rakul Preet Singh plays Obu, his love interest in the film. Keeravani composed the tunes for this rustic drama. Krish is currently directing Hari Hara Veera Mallu with Pawan Kalyan and Nidhhi Agerwal.
