Chiranjeevi surprises director Anil Ravipudi with a special birthday gift

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on his upcoming family entertainer 'Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu' with director Anil Ravipudi. The 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' director recently got a surprise as the veteran actor got a special gift on his birthday.

A warm gesture by Chiranjeevi

As per a report by CineExpress, Chiranjeevi surprised director Anil Ravipudi with a stylish wristwatch on the occasion of his birthday. The director is currently busy directing Chiranjeevi in the film and took a short break from the schedule to celebrate his birthday. As he visited the Megastar to seek blessings, Chiranjeevi welcomed him with warmth and personally handed over the elegant wristwatch as a birthday gift.


Speaking about the film, it is designed as a full-length comedy entertainer. It also stars Nayanthara as the female lead as Sasirekha. This marks their third collaboration together after 'Godfather' and 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy'.

Racing toward a Sankranthi release

'Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu' is reportedly progressing at a fast pace, with the team determined to bring the film to theatres for the upcoming Sankranthi festival.

Additionally, Venkatesh will also be seen in an important role. It is still unclear whether his part is a cameo or an extended one. It marks the first time Telugu cinema superstars share the screen.

Upcoming projects

Anil Ravipudi was last seen with Venkatesh in 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam', which went on to become a superhit. On the other hand, Chiranjeevi is also working on his next magnum opus, 'Vishwambhara', which will be a socio-fantasy film directed by Mallidi Vassishta. The film will include rich VFX and high-quality visuals where he will be see in a grand and larger-than-life portrayal.

On the other hand, he has joined hands with 'Dasara' director Srikanth Odela for an action thriller.
