Nenu support tho paikochinodini kadu, solo ga paikochinavadini... the aforementioned punch dialogue in Bengal Tiger, encapsulates Ravi Tejas journey from a struggling extra to the venerable Mass Maharaja of Telugu cinema. Besides eulogising the self-made credo of the actor, the dialogue sounds like a veiled dig at the reigning star sons of Telugu cinema.

But the man brushes it all as happenstance saying, Adi situational dialogue andi. It wasnt intended to be a reference to my life or celebrate my film career.
For a man who revels in playing to the gallery on screen, Ravi Teja is extremely uncomfortable when talking about himself. I did not set out to become the Mass Maharaja. I guess the massy characters worked for me as did the tag. My aim is simple: to entertain. Even in Bengal Tiger, thats exactly what I do. I will obviously have only good things to say about the film. But Id rather let the film do the talking, he quips.
The actor looks for conviction, confidence, clarity and common sense in a director before signing a film. I think when a director is confident, it reflects on the screen. Bengal Tiger is a commercial entertainer to the core. It comes with an ideal package ensemble cast, great music and technical prowess, he shares.
Tamannaah and Raashi Khanna play the female leads in the film and the actor has only good things to say about them. Tamannaah is a very positive person with dedication that is impressive. She has a grasp of not just Telugu but also Tamil. I connect with her because just like me even her life is cinema. We know nothing other than that, he states, adding, Raashi has a similar kind of positivity, dedication and vigour to constantly improve and learn.
Does he feel any pressure to deliver a hit this time considering his last film failed at the box-office? I dont like to complain and repent over my past. I deliver with my full potential and await the verdict. Bengal Tiger, produced by KK Radha Mohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner, releases today.
