Akhil Akkineni to team up with director Sreenu Vaitla?

Actor Akhil Akkineni was last seen in

‘Mr Majnu’

which was directed by Venky Atluri and starred Nidhhi Agerwal as the leading lady. The film couldn’t match to the expectations of the audiences and eventually bombed at the box-office. However, the film doesn’t seem to have affected Akhil and he has reportedly been approached by the director Sreenu Vaitla.
So, Akhil will reportedly team up with Sreenu Vaitla and it will be a

sports drama

. A popular production banner will be producing the film. The ‘Hello’ star was reportedly mulling over several action-oriented scripts, but eventually flagged off director Sreenu Vaitla’s narrative. He believes Vaitla’s narrative has the best potential in this regard. However, these reports are not confirmed and yet to be announced by the director.
The actor is currently prepping for his role in the film while Sreenu Vaitla is putting final touches to the script. Akhil’s new film ‘Mr Majnu’ is currently playing in theatres. Meanwhile, Sreenu Vaitla was last helmed ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ with Ravi Teja.
