Sisindri completed 25 years on Monday, and this has been a special film in Telugu cinema for many reasons. In Sisindri, Akhil played the son of Aamani. In fact, it was the first time when he played onscreen as a child artist. This movie for the first time brought father and son together on the silver screen. It was a treat for both Akkineni Nagarjuna and Akhil Akkineni fans to see their heroes play the roles of father and son. The film also gave Tollywood its some memorable songs.

Although it is an Indian adaptation of the Hollywood film Baby's Day Out, director Shiva Nageswara Rao's story was refreshing because of the twists and turns in the plot. However, the biggest selling point of the film was Akhil, who was a toddler then and has remained a child star of the industry.

During a recent interview, Aamani revealed that when Nagarjuna asked her for the film, she immediately agreed to do it. Initially, the film was supposed to be shot in 30 days, but it will be difficult to shoot with a small child, so the shooting of this film went on for 60 days. The shooting was done when Akhil was in a playing mood. Everyone was relaxed by the time Akhil sleeps. Even now Akhil looks like Sisindri to herself. She also said that Akhil still likes her so much and he always calls her mom. She concluded that she is so happy to see the love that Akhil has for her.

Directed by Bhaskar, Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the female lead in the film. The film will have the late veteran actor Jaya Prakash Reddy in a pivotal role with Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Pragathi, Amit Tiwari and Eesha Rebba in the star cast as well.
