Srimanthudu needs no introduction. Directed by Koratala Siva, the action entertainer starring Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles not only became the centre of attention post its release globally but also the third highest-grossing Telugu film of all time. With its universal appeal, the film garnered huge appreciation and garnered Rs 200 crore at the box office worldwide. Interestingly, the film also fetched thee Filmfare Awards in 2016 for Best Actor, Best Music Director and Best Male Playback singer along with other accolades and honour. Thought-provoking plot
Srimanthudu deals with the theme of village adaptation. It tells the story of an idealistic youth Harsha, the son of a self-made multimillionaire Ravikanth falls in love with Charuseela, who is doing a rural development course in the city. The deep love for Charuseela leads him to a remote village and wishes to develop it with her help. As he embarks on this journey, he discovers a lot about himself and truly lives in the moment. Through his story, the film teaches us the importance of villages and values.

Koratala Siva's execution
The plot of Srimanthudu is intriguing as well as it is the execution of Koratala Siva that makes it special. With this film, Siva has found a perfect balance between mainstream commercial elements and metaphorical storytelling. The film was widely praised for its gripping narration and its themes of villages and human relationships. Despite its flaws, Srimanthudu was a fairly satisfying conclusion to a regular Telugu film.

The distinctive soundtrack
Just like the name of the film, the music album of Srimanthudu is a delectable treat. The lyricists, who worked on the songs of the film, outshine each other with their fine contributions. Devi Sri Prasad serves up something remarkably different than the usual with their stimulating musical arrangements for "Rama Rama", "Jatha Kalise", "Jaago" and "Dhimmathirigae". Each song in the film is exquisitely chiselled.

One of the reasons why Srimanthudu was such a hit was because of the chemistry between the leads. The chemistry between Mahesh and Shruti is nothing short of amazing. This serious and romantic couple makes all of us go crazy over their sizzling chemistry. Both of these actors display amazing chemistry with almost everyone they are paired with, but both of them together is next-level great.
