Directed by R Murugadoss, ‘Spyder’ told the story of a spy who works in Intelligence Bureau, and helps people if they are in need. Tamil actor-cum-director SJ Surya was the antagonist of the film, in which Rakul Preet Singh had played the leading lady.

The actor had essayed the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in the Koratala Siva directorial film and Kiara Advani had played the love interest to the actor.
