Director Shiva Nirvana made a splash with his debut film Ninnu Kori in 2017, which showed that not all love stories need to have happy endings. Two years later, the director has teamed up with
Nani yet again for another film titled Tuck Jagadish. With the film’s shoot still two months away, the director is tight-lipped about the plot, but says the story will make the audience think.
“The film will have a village backdrop and will be an emotional rollercoaster. In Ninnu Kori, I dealt with how people in love learn to move on, and in Majili, I told the unlikely love story of a married couple. Tuck
Jagadish too will have an engaging theme that will keep the audience gripped,” says Shiva, adding, “Ever since Ninnu Kori, Nani and I wanted to team up again. We share a great bond at a personal level and this is a story that excites both of us equally. I can confidently say that Nani will shine in this role.” The film will be shot in rural AP or Telangana and the shoot will commence in the last week of January. While Nani plays the lead, actors Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh have been roped in as female leads for this film. “Both actresses will add colour and depth to the film. The story will be told in a very organic way, so I wanted things to look natural. Hence we picked two Telugu girls who can dub for themselves. We’ve got a solid cast and I’m extremely pleased with the actors who have come on board. That said, in Tuck Jagadish, the story will be the real hero and I can’t wait for the audience to see it,” the director adds.
