‘Yuddham Sharanam’ Box Office collection Day 2: Naga Chaitanya and Lavanya Tripathi starrer fails to cross Rs 10 Cr in two days

’ starring Naga Chaitanya and Lavanya Tripathi in lead roles with Revathy and Rao Ramesh playing the protagonist’s parents upped the expectations, promising a thriller worth its salt.

Srikanth played the antagonist in this film that was directed by debutant Krishna Marimuthu and featured music scored by Vivek Sagar of the ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame. The movie released to mixed reviews on Day 1 and the movie managed to mint Rs 3.1 Cr in the Telugu speaking regions and Rs 4 Cr worldwide.

Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Premam’ and even ‘Rarandoi Veduka Choodam’ managed to rake in Rs 5.7 Cr and Rs 6.9 Cr respectively on first day. Reports state that ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ witnessed a dip in its business on Day 2 and collected only Rs 2 Cr worldwide, making its two-day collection Rs 6 Cr.

Distributors and satellite right buyers had reportedly shelled out Rs 20 Cr for the movie and at this rate, it remains to be seen if losses will be incurred. The movie released in over 700 cinema halls across the world on September 8.
