Spyder US box office collections day one: Mahesh Babu starrer expected to gross over $1 million

Mahesh Babu is the biggest Tollywood star in the overseas market, especially the US. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that his latest release Spyder, directed by AR Murugadoss is all set to make a killing at the box-office there on the first day of release.

Spyder is releasing across more than 300 locations worldwide and with prices for the tickets for the premier shows touching as high as $25, more than $600,000 of presales have been reported to date. The film is widely expected to top $1 million in first-day grosses, and to surpass the all-time US Tuesday record for an Indian film held by Baahubali 2.

His prior film Srimanthudu, earned $2.9 million in the U.S. in 2015, which makes it the third-highest grossing Telugu-language film there after the two Baahubali pictures, and the 30th highest-grossing Indian film overall.
