'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' box office collection day 8: Victory Venkatesh's adventure comedy mints Rs 6.50 crore

Victory Venkatesh's latest film, 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam', has emerged as a major hit at the box office since its release on January 14, 2025. The film has shown impressive earning potential, raking in approximately Rs 6.50 crore net in India on its eighth day, bringing its total net collection to around Rs 128.50 crore.

The film's box office journey has been remarkable, with consistent earnings since its debut. As per Sacnilk, on its opening day, 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' earned Rs 23 crore, followed by Rs 20 crore on Day 2 and Rs 17.5 crore on Day 3. The momentum continued with collections of Rs 16 crore on Day 4, Rs 17.75 crore on Day 5, and Rs 19.35 crore on Day 6. On Day 7, it brought in approximately Rs 8.4 crore. The overall occupancy rate for the film on January 21 was reported at 27.85%, with strong performances during evening and night shows.

Directed by Anil Ravipudi, 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' is a festive family entertainer that weaves together humour and drama. The story follows Yadagiri Damodarraju (played by Venkatesh), a former police officer who has chosen a peaceful life with his wife Bhaghyam (Aishwarya Rajesh) and their children. However, his life takes a turn when his ex-girlfriend Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary) re-enters his life seeking help for a kidnapping case involving a prominent businessman.

The film also features Upendra Limaye, Sai Kumar, and Rajendra Prasad in supporting roles. The engaging storyline, combined with Venkatesh's performance and the festive backdrop of Sankranti celebrations, has resonated well with audiences.
