'Ponniyin Selvan' second single: AR Rahman's music 'Chola Chola' is magical

'Ponniyin Selvan' is inching close to release, and Mani Ratnam's directorial is preparing for a never-before grand release. The makers have released the 'Ponniyin Selvan' second single, and AR Rahman's music 'Chola Chola' is sure to strike a chord with the music lover in you. The ‘Chola Chola’ is the victory song, and it praises the people of Cholas. Sathya Prakash, VM Mahalingam, and Nakul Abhyankar have crooned the song, while the lyrics are penned by Ilango Krishnan, who has also penned the lyrics for the first single track. The song has also been released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, and popular singers from respective industries have crooned them.


The second single has been launched at an event in Hyderabad, while Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi from the cast have made them available to interact with fans. The lyrical video of the song also reveals some exclusive stills of Chiyaan Vikram and fans are thrilled. Chiyaan Vikram plays Aditya Karikalan, the crown prince, and his character is going to be an important one in the film explaining the history of the Chola Kingdom. 'Ponniyin Selvan' is based on the novel of the same title written by Kalki, and the expectations are high for the film as it is going to present the prestigious period of Tamil people.


'Ponniyin Selvan' audio and trailer are planned to be launched at a grand event in Chennai in the first week of September, while Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are reportedly invited as the chief guest for the event.
