Vivekh gives away 3,000 saplings

Actor Vivekh organised ���Green Kalam Peace Rally��� at Marina beach on Sunday, to pay tribute to former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam. The event which had the participation of students from various colleges across the city, witnessed people from different walks of life making their presence felt. The veteran artiste urged the gathering to plant as much as trees possible to escape the onslaught of global warming.He gave away 3,000 saplings to the participants who attended the event. Vivekh has, till date, planted 27,35,000 trees, (excluding the 3,000 mentioned) and is hopeful of reaching the target of one crore set by Abdul Kalam.
