The dominant media house is said to have bagged the rights of the Vishal film
After getting a new lease of life with Mankatha, Sun Pictures, which had of late been mired in controversies with the arrest of its ex-COO Hansraj Saxena, now seems to be back with a bang. If reports are to be believed, the big player in Kollywood has bagged the entire rights of Prabhu Deva's Vedi (including theatrical and overseas apart from the distribution rights).
Vedi stars Vishal and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles and is a remake of the Telugu superhit Souryam. Vishal plays a cop while Vivekh plays a comedian. The Prabhu Deva-directed flick has peppy music by Vijay Anthony. it looks like the film, which was expected to release for Diwali, will also be releasing early by late September or early October.
