Vada Chennai preview: The first part of the trilogy promises a lot

With Dhanush and director Vetri Maaran having given hit films 'Polladhavan' and 'Aadukalam' in the past, expectations of 'Vada Chennai' is very high. While there have been sequels to film, this is the first trilogy of Tamil cinema and this has made the audience more eager. The film has been receiving amazing response from the audience ever since the movie was announced.

will Dhanush in the role of Anbu, an ambitious carrom player living in North Chennai. Directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran, it’s safe to say that ‘Vada Chennai’ is very likely to strike a chord with the audiences. The film seems to span across several years and tracks the story of a carrom board player-turned-gangster Anbu (Dhanush).

Apart from the visuals, one of the major highlights of the teaser is Santhosh Narayanan’s background score. The film has an ensemble cast including Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Kishore, Ameer, Samuthirakani, Pawan and Daniel Balaji in important roles.



Tipped to be the most ambitious project in the career of Vetri Maaran, this film has been shot in a realistic manner, featuring raw and hard-hitting action. The trilogy is being produced by Dhanush and Vetrimaran under their Wunderbar Films and Grass Root Films Company banners.

The teaser of the film caught the eye of not only the fans in South, but also the stars in Bollywood. Several celebrities including the likes of Bollywood star Dhah Rukh Khan lavished praise on the film. Accalimed Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap went on to say he was dying to see the film after seeing the teaser.
