Trisha likely to play the female lead of Ajith starrer 'AK 62'

Actor Ajith is currently shooting for his 61^st film titled ‘Thunivu’ with director H Vinoth. The shooting for the movie is on its last leg and it will soon move into post-production. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the film is scheduled for release in January 2023. However, it is yet to be announced officially if the movie will clash at the box office with Vijay’s bilingual starrer ‘Varisu’.
After ‘Thunivu’, Ajith has signed up for his next tentatively titled ‘AK 62’ with director Vignesh Shivan. The initial announcement was made in May. Fans have been eagerly waiting to watch Ajith’s role under Vignesh Shivan’s direction. However, the official confirmation regarding the film’s cast, crew, and production is yet to be made.
Earlier it was reported that Vignesh Shivan has completed the script of the movie and the pre-production work of the film will begin in February 2023. Now, there is a new buzz that actress Trisha is likely to play the female lead in the movie. Reports suggest that the makers of the movie have approached Trisha to play the role of the female lead of ‘AK 62’.
If the news is true, this will be the third film that Trisha will be acting alongside Ajith after ‘Kreedam’ and ‘Mankatha’. On the work front, Trisha was last seen in the blockbuster ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ which marked her strong comeback in Kollywood after 4 years.
