Thuppaki case on Friday

Tomorrow (July 19) will be the day when the legal battle between Thupakki and Kalla Thupakki will come up at a Chennai court. This case was originally slotted for July 17 but was postponed.
The issue currently is because of the similarity is over the title. Ravi Devan, the director of Kalla Thuppakki says he had registered his film's title in 2009, even before filmmaker A R Murugadoss launched Thuppakki with Ilayathalapathy Vijay.He feels that if both the flicks release with similar titles, there's a chance that audiences might get confused.
The other side to this story is the version of the producer of Thuppaki, Kalaipuli Dhanu. His opinion is that a lot of films hit Kollywood with similar titles these days and that there should be no confusion.
So, which way will the court swing? Fans of Vijay are eagerly awaiting this case and then the decks will be cleared for the film. Thuppaki, which has Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, is said to be high on action. In an interview, the actor had stated that ���Murugadoss has come up with a unique and interesting subject that has been told in an equally interesting manner.���
